Library Board
The library board of trustees consists of citizens with varying backgrounds and perspectives. Established under state law by the City of Appleton, the board includes one City of Appleton Alderperson, one Appleton Area School District representative, and eight members appointed by the mayor. Appointments, composition, and terms of office are in accordance with Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The library board protects and advances the interests of the broader community by effectively governing the operations and promoting the development of the library.

Library Board Meetings
Meetings take place the Tuesday before the third Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall. Board meetings are open to the public. Previous board meetings are available for viewing online.
