500 Books Before Middle School

Encourage your children to enjoy independent reading with our 500 Books Before Middle School program. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade – track your reading journey and earn prizes along the way.

How to participate:

  1. Sign up by filling out the form on this page or visiting the Children’s Services desk at the library.
  2. Download and print your reading log or pick one up at the Children’s Services desk.
  3. Read! Read! Read! Read the same book 50 times or read 50 different books. Color in a shape for every book you read. Use the lines on the page to write down your three favorite books.
  4. Once you’ve read/listened to 50 books and colored in an entire page, you’re eligible for a prize.
  5. Bring your completed pages to the Children’s Services desk to receive your prize(s).
